Students must have completed a 200-hour RYT certification from either Awakening Yoga Academy (AYA) or another accredited yoga school. Non-AYA alumni must also complete the Awakening Yoga 20-hour Immersion course as a bridge program.

Yes, the modules may be used either for the 300-hour enrollment or as separate continuing education hours with Yoga Alliance, but not for both​ simultaneously. 

Yes, Awakening Yoga Academy is an RYS 300. Registering with Yoga Alliance is NOT required to teach yoga and is not a governing body or a union. We work with them as a fully accredited Yoga School to ensure that you have the option to register upon graduation should you chose to do so.

For each module, you have six months to complete in-person or live-community modules and nine months for fully on-demand modules. This timeframe allows for flexibility and self-paced learning, accommodating your schedule and learning preferences.

Modules from the 300-hour curriculum are open to everyone, not just current yoga teachers. While having prior teaching experience is beneficial, it's not a requirement. This advanced training is ideal for dedicated individuals eager to deepen their understanding and practice of yoga, whether they aim to teach or simply wish to expand their personal asana acumen and theoretical understanding of yoga. Enthusiasts at all levels are encouraged to explore this higher education in yoga to enrich their personal journey.

Attending live modules via community Zoom sessions fulfills live teaching requirements, making in-person attendance optional. However, for a comprehensive hands-on experience, attending in-person modules is recommended. These in-person sessions are available at multiple global locations annually.
