Restorative Yoga and recovery with Carling Harps

This 20-hour moduleĀ is designed to steep you in the softer side of the practice. Together we will explore the restful world of Restorative Yoga and meditative practice of Yogic Sleep (Yoga Nidra) as well as the fundamental tenets of Active & Passive Recovery necessary to rebuild our hard working bodies, improve athletic endeavors, and keep coming back to movement for years to come.

This training is designed to blend the more traditional worlds of yogic restoration with the ever evolving principles of athletic performance recovery. You will be introduced to the AY Restore & Recover class model intended to offer the best of both worlds to its practitioners.

Whether you are looking to support your current teaching styles with more balanced offerings or are looking to venture into the full robust world of recovery practices, this module is the perfect place to start your journey. We will cover the relationship between the nervous system and postural effects, intentionally calming language & instruction models, and purposefully supportive postures designed to elicit a relaxation response.
